Welcome!

Shepherd House Early Learning  Inc.,  is  a licensed child care home through the Texas Department of Health and Human Service Commission (HHSC). We enroll children six weeks through pre-K. We also provide care for before and after-school children.

Shepherd House Early Learning Inc.,  staff purpose is to provide spiritual, academic, social/emotional, physical and cognitive development services, that will establish support to all children’s growth. A strong partnership with families who commit time and help to enhance our learning environment.  Active parental support combined with our best professional efforts provide children with the necessary social and academic skills to be successful in this world.

We believe in the value of providing a Christ-centered atmosphere where children can explore their world, and experience the love of God, through staff, bible stories that they can understand,  and learn principles for living.  We offers excellent teacher to child ratios and curriculum that is child centered. Monthly themes cover everything from bible stories and nursery rhymes to science and finger paint, learning ABCs, counting, etc.  (see curriculum).  Communication skills are practiced every day with the children. We believe that children learn  through play, manipulative toys are used to promote eye-hand coordination,  activities  includes: block- building, dolls,  socio-dramatic play activities so children can dress-up and role-play,  tricycling, puzzles, cars and trucks games and much more. The children  are encouraged to explore centers throughout the classroom, engage in activities that interest them, and build their social skills with other children.
